JCBS adopts an integrated curriculum that includes both the National Indications for the Italian Primary School and the English National Curriculum , focusing on the child in its uniqueness and the development of all areas of skills.
The integration of the ENC was chosen to enhance the Anglo-Saxon cultural heritage and to foster a multicultural mentality . The child will enrich and develop language and cognitive skills in English.
English National Curriculum
The national curriculum provides pupils with an introduction to the essential knowledge they need to be educated citizens. It introduces pupils to the best that has been thought and said, and helps engender an appreciation of human creativity and achievement.
The national curriculum provides an outline of core knowledge around which teachers can develop exciting and stimulating lessons to promote the development of pupils’ knowledge, understanding and skills as part of the wider school curriculum.
National Indications for the Italian Primary School
The Italian school system takes as a reference horizon towards which to aim the framework of key competences for lifelong learning defined by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union which are:
